Thinking about Congress
I admit I'm probably not going to do it... but then there's this entry on Political Wire about Iraq vets running for Congress. I'll be an Iraq vet. When I come back from Iraq, that is, but still. Of course I'd run as an independent and not a Democrat. Nonetheless, something to think about.

I hope that the vets that are running have other things going for them than just OIF service. From one OIF vet to another, do you really think the people around you have what it takes to be our leaders? I don't. :)
I don't really think any of our current leaders have what it takes either.
Now that is a good point if there ever was one. Good luck in Iraq.
