The Other Krazy Kat

It occurs to me that I have not once mentioned on this blog my Old Buddy, Cinders (Ruticus maximus). He also goes by Roo.

This is a picture of Roo eating tomatoes Florentine. Yes, you read that correctly: it’s diced tomatoes and spinach. He was, apparently, starving to death, although to judge by his rather ample girth and the food that was in his bowl at the time I guess he was just in the mood for some veggies. He also eats mushrooms and, on rare occasions, broccoli, and he once ate a potato. That’s why he’s fat, you know; it’s the carbs.

Man I haven't seen Cinders in ages. I'm glad to see that he is still around, bending spacetime with his proportions. Though I have to say that the picture doesn't really do his size justice.

Whisper would beg for absolutely anything in the old days, even stuff a cat had no business being interested in. So we'd say to ourselves, sure, give her some au gratin potatoes, she wont eat THAT. But she did, always. Potatoes, corn, beans, red pepper, pasta, popcorn, doritoes, pizza...and obviously all the meat, fish and poultry. I know this begs the question why the hell we feed our cat so many table scraps, do we WANT her to die of a heart attack? Anyways. She'll die happy, dammit. And it's not like I let her eat a LOT of popcorn.

Incidentally, I almost never comment on your posts b/c online I write lik teh moron, omg, and this blog is all intelligent and stuff [read: "esoteric" or "erudite"]. But I feel reasonably comfortable blathering about cats.

Sounds like Lucky. Although I can't recall a time he ate vegetables, he does love mashed potatoes and pizza. He once tried eating a slice of pizza from the crust end while Tiffany was still eating it herself.

Neann, meanwhile, has a girth that may rivals Cinder, and loves to lay around the teeny kitchen in the hopes that maybe you'll trip and drop some food near her.

And, hey, we may be erudite, but at least we aren't pedantic.

I didn't know Cinders had moved in! Hooray, Smitty has a cat! Now, if Ayzair can just kick the guilt over Pangur ...
