More wackiness out of North Carolina churches this week. You already know how I feel about it, but here is a link to the article so you can read it and just imagine me foaming at the mouth.
I like North Carolina. My parents own a cabin up there and I like it very much. But exactly what is it in the water up there that causes pastors to lose their minds? I just don't understand it. I suppose I never will.

Dang, you beat me to it! How can I put news of the weird on my blog when it's already on yours!
You know, I occasionally think: "I'm much to hard on Baptists. I'm sure overall they're a loving bunch." Then all sorts of wackiness breaks out, lately in the N.C. mountains. I just pray that someday these "Christians" will learn that Jesus reached out to others through love, not hate. What possible good did this pastor think would come from that sign?!
The pastor was taking the WWF approach to putting butts in the seats through sensationalizing.
And he has a point. I mean look at how often the Bible talks about Jesus spitting on the image of Baal or some other false god. I mean next we will be expected to convert through love, caring, conversation, truth, and example. I mean, how is that supposed to work?
I have to type a little more to let the sarcasm turbine wind down, or it can seize the bearings. Those things are expensive to replace, especially since I use one that’s about 3 stages larger than normal.
